My Skincare Routine | October 2015

Hello there beauties!

Usually at this time of year coming into Winter, I like to make sure I have my skincare routine really set in place because my skin really does not deal well with cold weather. It is so sensitive and gets really dry and sore – which does not work well under makeup! Although thankfully my skin definitely feels much better right now. It’s in better condition than it ever was and I am 100% sure it’s all down to the routine I’ve been using for the last few months. So I thought I’d share it with you guys and let you know what’s really been working for me and might help some of you too!

I might as well talk about these first, because these are the products that I use probably more than anything! The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish “Hot Cloth Cleanser” is a staple in my routine. I tried it out for the first time about 18 months and I’ve loved it ever since. I ran out of it a few months ago and because I was determined to finish up some other products before buying anything new, I just reached for whatever else was next in my press but I definitely noticed the difference after a few weeks. My skin just didn’t feel as clean and I could nearly feel all the chemicals being poured onto my skin from the other products. So I went back and bought another bottle and I’m not leaving this stuff again! I’ve been pairing it with the Liz Earle Toner and “Gentle Face Exfoliator” (which I use about once a week) which is definitely the nicest exfoliator I’ve ever tried. I usually mix a small bit in with my hot cloth cleanser and it creates the softest, but effective exfoliant. I’ve mentioned Liz Earle products in plenty of other posts but I did a more in depth review of them a few months ago, which you can find here.

For moisturiser I use the Origins “Eye Doctor” under my eyes and the Clinique “Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion” all over my face everyday but when I really feel like my skin needs an extra bit of help I use a tiny bit of the Clinique “Moisture Surge” which usually does the trick!

I’ve tried to stop using makeup wipes to remove my makeup and it’s definitely made a big difference to the condition of my skin. Now I generally use a bit of the Garnier Micellar Water on some facial pads to loosen up all the makeup and then I’ll massage in about two pumps of the Clinique extra mild soap all around my face and wipe it off with a micellar wipe. I know it’s so much easier and quicker to just use a makeup wipe at the end of the day, but I feel like this does a much better job and your skin feels a lot better afterwards in comparison.

I like to try and make sure I use a facial mask once or twice a week to keep it in the best possible condition – it’s also an excuse to relax and pamper myself during the week! The Origins Clear Improvements “Charcoal Mask” and “Drink up Intensive’ have long been a favourite of mine and the combination of the two work really well together and make your face feel so soft and fresh afterwards. The First Aid Beauty “Purifying Mask with Red Clay” is only a recent purchase of mine that I got while in America but so far I am loving it! The only thing I’m not too keen on is trying to take it off; you have to peel it off and it just takes a little bit longer than others. I also picked up some travel sizes of the Glamglow mud treatments – the Youth Mud and the Super Mud clearing treatment which are what I like to use when I really want to cheer myself up and feel pampered. I love to use these maybe once or month or just before a special occasion to give my skin that extra boost.

I think we’ve already established the fact that I am addicted to Soap and Glory products, right? Well, if not – I am! It’s probably one of my favourite drugstore brands not only for makeup but also the beauty and skincare products. Lately I’ve been loving the “Clean on Me” Body Wash – purely just for the smell! Although I usually always have a bottle of “Sugar Crush” lying around somewhere too but I’ve actually just run out so I’m waiting to stock up soon! Likewise, “The Scrub of Your Life” should be in this picture too but I couldn’t find the bottle when I was taking the photo – but seriously, that stuff is amazing. I’ve been using it pretty much nonstop for the last year and I still haven’t found anything better to replace it with!

Lately I’ve been using baby oil on my skin when I get out of the shower before my moisturiser and oh my god, the difference is unbelievable! I now understand why they always say “as soft as a baby’s bottom”, it really does help lock in all the moisture.  I’ve heard so many beauty bloggers raving about this over the past few months and now I definitely get the hype! I’ve been pairing it with my S&G “The Righteous Butter” (which is another must-have products, especially in Winter), I just love this combination.

And that’s it! I’d love to hear if you have used any of these products or what you prefer to use on a daily basis?

MOTD | Products List <3

Hello ladies!

I LOVE reading these kind of posts and it’s been absolutely ages since I’ve written one myself, so I decided to do a quick little post which might hopefully give you some inspiration if you’ve anything special events coming up. I was lucky enough to attend a charity ball recently in aid of Jigsaw Dublin 15 (a youth mental health service that I’m honoured to be apart of as a member of their Youth Advisory Panel!). So of course, a gal can’t resist getting all done up for a ball, right? Here’s what I used.

Before applying any makeup I followed my normal skincare routine, which you can READ HERE!

  • Smashbox ‘PhotoFinish’ Primer Water
  • L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer (on T-Zone)
  • MAC ‘Strobe Cream’
  • MAC ProLongwear Foundation in NW15
  • MAC ProLongwear Concealer in NW15 + NW20
  • Soap & Glory ‘Kick Ass’ Powder
  • Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour
  • Benefit ‘Hoola’ Bronzing Powder
  • NARS ‘Deep Throat’ Blush
  • Becca x Jaclyn Hill ‘Champagne Pop’ Highlighter (This stuff is unreal, definitely my go-to highlight.)
  • Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ MakeUp Setting Spray

  • MAC ProLongwear Concealer in NW15
  • MAC Paintpot in ‘Groundwork’
  • MAC Pressed Pigment in ‘DayGleam’

  • MAC ‘Texture’
  • Soap & Glory ‘Smoulder Kohl’ Eyeliner
  • The Balm ‘schwing’ Liquid Liner
  • Becca x Jacyln Hill ‘Champagne Pop’ Highlighter (yes, again!)
  • Max Factor ‘
  • 2000 calorie’ mascara
  • Ardell Glamour ‘Wispies’
  • Tarte ‘Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse’ in Medium Brown
  • Maybelline ‘Brow Drama’

  • Burt’s Bees Vanilla Pod lip balm
  • MAC ‘Soar’ Lipliner
  • MAC ‘Viva Glam 2’ Lipstick
  • NARS ‘Orgasm’ Lipgloss
  • Liz Earle Fragrance ‘Botanical Essence No. 20’ – Okay, Okay, I know this isn’t makeup but I only just discovered this and love it, so I couldn’t resist sharing it with you all. I don’t even know how to describe the scent; it’s kind of spicy with a hint of musk and yet florally at the same time? It’s amazing.

Writing this list just made me realise how many products I had on my face in one night!! But when you know you’re going to be out all night and dancing etc, you want to know it’s going to last and not crease or get shiny, so I was really happy with the longevity that this combination of products created – the primers and setting sprays in particular.

Just look at how cute my little puppy is, even when she’s not well! Couldn’t resist a photo op with her mammy.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions about any of the products I used, just leave a comment below. 🙂

Happy Monday!

Leaving my blog?!

**EDIT:just to clear up confusion, I’m not actually leaving this blog – this post was just to let you all know I may not be able to post as freely as I used to. But I’m still going to be around! **

Over the past few months I’ve really remembered how much I enjoy blogging and regret that I didn’t get to keep it up as much as I would have liked before the summer.

I sat down the other day and asked myself why that had happened and how could I prevent it happening again, because I really do love connecting with all of you guys.

I knew the main reason why I was unsuccessful in keeping posts ticking over most of the year was due to college – it was just so full on with assignments and exams etc I didn’t have a moment to think, let alone blog! And so with the new term starting up again in a few weeks, I know it’s only going to be the same (if not worse!)

The Irish Blogging market is really flooded out with bloggers at the moment so taking a break is just not possible because as soon as you leave, it’s very hard to build up your posts, levels and readers again. And of course, I’d just feel terrible knowing I wasn’t fulfilling this blog to its potential and writing less than half satisfactory posts, and to be honest I think that would kill me more than anything. so that left me thinking I had two options: stop blogging completely or find a different platform to connect with readers when I don’t have the spare time to write a full post!

So after coming to my senses, I decided to give the second option a go. I’ve set up a new snapchat account which I plan on using for the next few months to see if it helps me to keep you all updated on a more regular basis. So don’t worry, I’m still going to be writing posts (just not as often as I am doing at the moment) but instead you can keep up with my thoughts over on my snapchat which is aoifebelleblog ! This way you get to have more regular contact with me and I can keep you all updated in between posts on here.

So if you have a snapchat, give me an add and say hello! If you don’t have snapchat.. What are you doing? Go download it and say hello too! I can’t wait to connect with you all on a more personal level and get to share what I’m loving/doing/thinking at the same time. I’ll leave my snapchat code at the bottom of this post, or comment down below with your usernames and I’ll add you.

Hopefully I’ll see you all soon over on aoifebelleblog , so until then my loves!

August Favourites ’15

Hello everyone!

It seems like only yesterday that I was writing about the products I’d been loving in July and all of a sudden its AUGUST! Where does the time fly. I don’t have too many new favourites this month, so without further ado here are the things that I’ve been obsessing over this month.

The first product on my list is the fabulous Glam Glow mud! I got this when I was over in America during the summer and I’m so glad I splurged out for one because it is definitely worth it. I currently have the Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment and I just love the tightened and fresh feeling it gives your skin when you take it off. I like to use this when I want to treat my skin because as I said, it is a bit expensive but it really feels like you’re pampering yourself when you use it. I want to try out the new FlashMud treatment soon as I’ve heard so many people rave about it and judging by how good the YouthMud is, I’m sure I’ll love it.

My favourite ‘eye look’ (does that count?! haha) lately has been a mix of an old and new product – I recently rediscovered my Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr gel eyeshadow in “On and On Bronze” and can’t believe I’d forgotten about it! It helps create such an easy eye look and doesn’t crease at all. I’ve been adding a small bit of Buxom’s ‘Haute Couture’ eyeshadow just in the crease and under eye to add a bit more dimension and that’s it – a quick, but gorgeous everyday eye look. This paired with a flick of winged eye liner and mascara and you’re done.

Speaking of eyes, I recently decided to try out the Red Cherry Wispy eyelashes and fell in love. I’d heard a few people speaking about them and considering they’re quite cheap I figured I’d order a few online and test them out and I definitely was not disappointed – I’m pretty sure they only cost about 2.99 or something like that, but they are much better than some of the lashes I’ve paid quite a lot more for. The shape is gorgeous and really adds something special to your lashes without looking overly noticeable. The best bit is, they seem to last really well once you look after them – I think I managed to wear the same pair about 3-4 times before they even started getting a bit messy. These are definitely going to be repurchased soon. If any of you are looking to buy lashes, check out for 10% off any lashes if you use the code “LASHED” !

My final beauty favourite of this month has been the new Rimmel NUDE collection by Kate in the colours 48 and 42. 42 is a gorgeous pinky nude that would look fantastic on anyone with fair skin and is very similar to MAC’s ‘Creme Cup’ and at half the price, whats not to love! 48 is a much darker nude with more brown undertones and I had actually picked it up by accident thinking it was 45, but when I got home I started using it paired with the lighter 42 shade in the middle of the lips I actually fell in love with this combo. This pair create a gorgeous full lip so I was delighted I’d picked them up (even if one was by accident!)

Books & TV:

Summer is definitely the time of year where I get to catch up on reading because I generally have more free time to do so but I also discovered Audible when I was on holidays and it’s been a real game changer. I used to always listen to audiobooks when I was a kid (I was obsessed with Harry Potter, okay!) so I’ve been finding it really nice to be able to throw one on now and listen to it when I’m doing my work or driving in the car. One of the first books I got was Gone Girl – it was something I’d been meaning to read for ages but I found the style of writing really hard to concentrate on and not going to lie, a little bit boring in the first few pages so I kept putting it off, but with the audiobook version I became obsessed! It’s got such a good storyline with lots of twists and turns, you really don’t know how it’s going to end. I won’t give it all away incase some of you haven’t read it, but I’d advise you to pick it up and give it a go – you won’t regret it. And if like me, you found it hard to get into the story – download it on Audible and you can get your first month free!

I much prefer watching TV series’ to movies – I think because they’re not as long – I have a bit too short of an attention span to sit still for 2 hours straight to watch a film! I tend to just straight from series to series throughout the year until I’ve ran out of things to watch but a few weeks ago I decided to try “How to Get Away With Murder” purely because Shonda Rhimes (who created Greys Anatomy <3) wrote it and it’s true, that woman can not do anything wrong! I was really surprised at the first few episodes as it wasn’t anything like I thought it would be and the storylines were just amazing! It’s basically about a group of law students who are interning in a renowned law firm – but end up needing their own help more than they would ever have imagined. It’s kind of dark at times but its full of suspense and drama, so if that’s your thing definitely check out this series! There’s only one season so far, but season 2 is being released in September and the date is already marked in my calendar!

IMG_0290 IMG_0291

Anyone who knows me, knows I rarely go out anywhere without sunglasses! Which is hilarious, because I live in Ireland where you’re pretty much guaranteed to have rain every day but to me, they’re an essential in my handbag and my car! I recently picked these up in an Aldo outlet in Orlando and they haven’t left my head since! I love the pink and rose gold fixtures, but mostly I love that they actually fit me! I have a really small and odd shaped head and usually find it really hard to get glasses to fit me comfortably. I’ll definitely be taking a trip into Aldo next time I’m looking for some more sunnies! I’m not sure if these exact glasses are still in stock, but these are quite similar if you’re interested.

FullSizeRender 11 IMG_0288

I’m pretty sure you’ll all have guessed this by now from some of my previous posts, but I’m such an organisational FREAK! haha. I wanted to take a complete break all summer from anything work/college/organising related but as summer is nearly finished, I felt it was time to take out my Filofax again and it’s caused me to remember how much I love this baby. I’ve literally just spent the last couple of weeks getting myself used to it and getting it all fixed up the way I want it again, but I’m pretty sure I’ve scheduled my life for the next 6 months in it and I LOVE IT! I used to have the smaller size down but It was so awkward to write in and keep things in, so I switched to this A5 size Saffiano last Winter and haven’t looked back since. It’s such a perfect size for college and carrying things around and I love how it has little pockets and zip pockets so I can keep everything I need with me in there and not have to worry about forgetting things or losing things when I’m out. Not to mention the colour with the pink lining and stitching looking so pretty! I’m almost certain this is going to be stuck by my side as soon as I get back to college and I’m almost certain that makes me a granny ( Sorry not Sorry!).

Anyway, they are all the things I’ve been loving over the month of August! Do you have any recommendations of products or things I can try in September? I would love to hear your suggestions!

It’s crazy if you think back about 10 -15 years and see how things change, but more importantly how you’ve changed.

When I was growing up in school, friends were more than just a sort of cultural capital – they held meaning to who you were as a person and also gave you a sense that everything was going to be alright once you were with them. You’d play games in the yard, be each other’s partner during school projects and have sleepovers every weekend (aka movies, junk food and telling each other’s secrets!). Life was fun but more importantly, it was safe.

Then as the years go on, gravity takes force and tries to separate you a little bit.. You start secondary school; You’re in different classes in school.. you have different interests out of class.. You may even have to move school. But even still, despite all this, you always find ways to be at each other’s side whenever you can. You don’t have work or other commitments to worry about, all you have to think about is ‘who’s going out with who?’ And ‘what film are we going to see at the weekend?’ Or ‘Pleaasse can I go to the disco on Friday night?!’

But through all the memories, tears and drama which accompanies being a teenager, you know your best friends are always there for you – more than just a friend, but another sibling.

Unfortunately, it’s usually when you’ve passed this stage that you realise how much more you should have treasured that inseparable bond.
Now, nearing 21 years of age I realise this and relish every minute together I get to spend with my girls (Although ironically, our catch ups seem to be more and more sporadic due to everyone’s increasing responsibilities, but I’ll get to that later).

Finishing school meant more than just getting Leaving Cert results, it allowed us to see how we could function without the safety net of our beloved friends. With a group of four or five people, it’s highly doubtful if not impossible that all of us would end up in the same college, let alone course! But it made us become independent, and as cheesy as it sounds, spread our wings a bit with out first taste of freedom.

As we’ve grown up and gone our separate independent ways; we’ve grown as people too. That means more than just moving to college, meeting new people and learning how to cook – it also means we’ve developed the ability to love and respect the relationships we have (and also the ones we’ve lost).

Now, it could be weeks or even months between when our group of friends can all get together for a catch up and we no longer have the freedom to live in each other’s hair.

Regardless of this and the seemingly sentimental, reminiscent tone of childhood memories which underpins this piece –  it is perhaps now, over all of other times throughout the years I would say that the strength and bond of our friendship has never been stronger.

Yes, we may not be able to talk to each other every day, or see each other every week – but what we have is stronger. Now we are at peace with the knowledge and the trust that we will always be there for each other if and when needed; we will always be there with an open ear; a welcoming hug; and a cup of tea (or a bottle of vodka if the situation arises).

It is, in definition, a friendship which has stood the test the time. As they always say, you know you’re best friends when you can go for weeks without talking, but when you see each other you can just pick up where you left off.

These are the words I say to myself when I’m missing my girls and so these are the words I’m reminding myself with this week as one of my best friends is moving to another country for a few months for college (albeit it’s only an hour away) and we all prepare for the craziness which comes with starting back to college in September. This no doubt means we won’t get to see as much of each other once again and will find it harder to stay involved in each others lives as much as we would like to. But that’s okay, because that’s how life is.

But it’s mostly okay, because I am proud.

I am proud of the strong, courageous and independent women my friends have all grown up to be. I am proud of how much we have all achieved over the years and how much we have all accomplished. I for one, know I wouldn’t have gotten to the place I am or be half the person I am without their support and love.

Most of all, I am beyond proud to be able to call them my friends; my closest sisters; my soulmates. Finally, I understand what friendship should truly be about.

From cradle to grave.

Love always, A xo

Photobook: AMERICA ’15: Part TWO

Hello again!
Well, it’s official – looking through all of these photos is make me miss America dreadfully! I just want to go back to the sunshine and where everyone seems so happy.

So, after a few days we left sunny Orlando for the port and set sail on our 7 day cruise around the Caribbean. I can’t even explain how amazing this was! I’ve been on a cruise before but I legit just couldn’t get over how big this ship was, especially in comparison to the last one – it literally felt like a city on board. The ship we were on was Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean’s ‘Freedom of the Seas’ docked in Labadee, Haiti.

Oh and let me just put a little disclaimer here before I go any further – CRUISES ARE NOT FULL OF OLD, BORING PEOPLE!! Haha. I’ve heard that a few times and I’m just like, that could not be further from the truth! For anyone who likes a bit of sunshine, sea, shopping and travelling to new places (and of course, a but of luxury) will LOVE cruising. There’s so much entertainment during the day and night you won’t even know you’re sailing and you definitely won’t want to get off when the dreaded final day comes!

I loved that it was 7 days, because I felt it was the right amount of time split between relaxing by the pool and discovering new places! During the week, we visited Labadee in Haiti, Falmouth in Jamaica, GeorgeTown in Grand Caymen and Cozumel in Mexico.

IMG_1705 IMG_1706

How cute are these?! When we got to our cabin on the first night, these were waiting for us! Champagne, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Cheese Plate and Chocolate Strawberries.. Are you getting the idea that I love chocolate-covered strawberries yet? haha.

I spent most of the first few days trying to find my way around the ship – no joke, my family had to use walkie talkies to try and keep in contact/find each other hahaha! The things you do when you have no phone coverage. But it was kind of refreshing to be able to be ‘out-of-contact’ for a while.

cruise ship

This was part of the ‘Royal Promenade of the ship, which was absolutely beautiful. The architecture was just stunning! During the formal nights (there were two on our cruise), they had photographers at different stations around the ship where you could get some nice photos done…not going to lie, I did go a bit mad! But I figured, hey, if I’m after getting dolled up for a ‘formal’ night, I may as well get some pictures to prove it.

IMG_20150813_0019 IMG_20150813_0002

IMG_1727 IMG_1730

Although, when we were in Grand Caymen I definitely ticked something off my bucket list… I SWAM WITH DOLPHINS! AAAHH! Can you tell my excitement?! I was literally like a kid that morning, but it was soo much fun. It’s always something I’d wanted to do since watching Mary Kate and Ashley in the Bahamas haha.

PicMonkey Collage

As you can see from the pictures, i was REALLY excited haha. Although please ignore my awkward gappy smile – I never realised how hard it was to be pulled along by a dolphin and try smile for a camera at the same time, oops!

I literally was devastated coming off the cruise, it was just so relaxing but I knew I had a few days in Cocoa Beach to look forward to before coming home so that made the last day a little more bearable! We stayed in the Hilton on Cocoa Beach but we had no idea until we got there that it was literally ON the beach! It was so gorgeous and really helped with the post-cruise depression.

IMG_1841 IMG_1854 IMG_1859 IMG_1867 IMG_1872

And that’s it! It was really nice being able to relive the trip through this photobook series – even if I do feel a little depressed looking at my surroundings now! I can’t wait to start planning my next trip, wherever that will be.. Have you any trips planned? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to get some suggestions for my next escape!

How is your week going?

Photobook: AMERICA ’15: Part ONE

I was just looking through my posts earlier when I realised I don’t think I ever updated you all on how I got on when I went to America earlier on this summer! So what a perfect time to do so. I took soo many pictures which I love looking back through, especially when it gets all cold and miserable here in Ireland – There’s nothing better! So I thought I’d share some of my favourite photos with you guys from the trip, but I’ll probably split it into two sections otherwise it would become a novel!

I was beyond excited to go away, we had booked it months ago and it was pretty much the only thing getting me through all my assignments and exams in college! We were starting off in Orlando for a few days (for a bit of shopping of course!) before going on a 7 day cruise around the caribbean which just sounded like BLISS!

We were staying at a hotel right in the middle of International Drive, which was amazing because it was so close to everything. Now, I’m not the biggest fan of theme parks and rides etc and so since I’ve been to Florida before all the theme parks etc were not high on my priorities list – except for the Harry Potter Land in Universal which I just couldn’t find time for *tear*. BUT, when I think of Orlando I think of two things; good food and even better shopping! So of course, that’s what I did!

L-R: Double Blueberry Pancakes, Raspberry & Peach Pancakes, and Raspberry & White Chocolate Pancakes ❤

I mean, you can’t go to Florida and NOT go to an iHOP right?! They seriously do the nicest pancakes. I’m not going to lie, I did go more than once but they’re just impossible to resist and so cheap! I also did some serious damage while shopping in Orlando…I’m talking can’t-carry-bags-lets-drop-them-back-to-hotel-after-one-shop kind of damage! I now understand why Sephora is called Candyland, I mean…WOW. I nearly cried with happiness – except when I saw my bill, that was naaat good.. haha! I still can’t believe we don’t have a Sephora in Ireland, or UK as far as I know. I mean, its just not acceptable!

Some of the damage *Hands over eyes emoji*

While we were over there, we also managed to go see Cirque to Soleil in Downtown Disney which was UNREAL! I didn’t really know what to expect beforehand, but it well exceeded all expectations I could have ever had and was one of the most entertaining shows I’ve ever been to. It also gave me the excuse to wear my sparkly Minnie Mouse ears. When in Disney..

The incredible Cirque du Soleil in Downtown Disney

so happy to be in Disney! although look at those tired eyes, omg!

Downtown Disney ❤

I think one of the most magical things we did when we were over there though has to be when we got to see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks! Because of the craaazy ticket prices/waiting times to see the fireworks, I had been told we were going to one of the Disney hotels to get dinner and then watch the fireworks from their viewing area BUT when we got there, it turned out my mum had organised a speciality cruise around Bay Lakes and we got to see the fireworks from right there in the lake directly in front of Cinderella’s Castle. it was beyond words, such a phenomenal experience that I don’t think I’ll ever forget!

PicMonkedisney PicMonkey disney

And to make it even better, onboard the boat was the nicest Disney cookies and Chocolate Strawberries ❤

IMG_1533 IMG_1532

That’s pretty much everything we did before we moved onto the Caribbean and Cocoa Beach, so I think I’ll leave them until the next part which will probably be uploaded in the next couple of days so keep an eye out for that.

I also uploaded some of these to Instagram along the way, so you guys should all definitely follow me on there to see what I’m getting up to! 🙂 Also, comment your instagram usernames and I’d love to follow you all.

Day in The Life: Photos – August ’15

Hi Everyone!

I love reading these day in the life posts purely because I’m nosey, so I couldn’t resist trying it out myself! So one Sunday I kept my camera out and tried to remember to snap what was going on..

9am: Waking up. YAWN! Snooze button, please?

10am: First thing I had to do when I peeled myself out of bed was have some cuddles with my gorgeous little puppy, Lilly. She’s nearly 5 months ago, but she’s such a lil cutie!

11am: Brunch time. I made some healthy Banana & Blueberry pancakes! Since I have porridge nearly every other day of the week without fail, I always try to make something a bit tastier on Sunday as a little treat! And of course a giant size Starbucks mug of tea that I picked up in Florida while doing a morning scroll of social media on my phone..

12.30pm: Skincare time! Making the most of the free time Sunday has to offer to give my skin a little pamper.

Clinique Step 1 and @ for sensitive skin, Origins Drink Up Intensive Moisturiser and Origins Eye Doctor

Glam Glow! Love this stuff..

1.30pm: A light, everyday makeup and casual clothes before I head out to run a few errands!

2.30pm: Shopping in the ever-wonderful Blanchardstown Centre, this place is like a second home at this stage! It has everything you could ever want. (Although It could never beat Dundrum SC!!)

3.30pm: Refuelling with a Starbucks! So hard trying not to spend money when there’s sales on everywhere!

4.30pm: Nap Time! haha. Nothing better than chilling out in the afternoon, especially since I was heading out that night.

6.30pm: Getting ready to head out and meet up with some friends, to celebrate their 21st birthday.

After this I met up with the girls for some drinks (Prosecco reception? Who could say no!) before heading to a Spanish tapas restaurant for food. I actually forgot to take any other photos that night because we were all too busy catching up after not seeing each other in weeks, so sorry! But when we were finished celebrating, I got home and went to bad – I’m such a party animal, right? haha.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post! I know it’s a little different but let me know if you liked it and would like to see more of these kind of blogs in the future.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

The Beautiful Blogger Awards! // 08 August!

The gorgeous Kayleigh nominated me for the Beautiful Blogger Awards, which was so kind! So thanks to Kayleigh, I’m writing this post today.

  • State who nominated you
  • Answer questions given
  • Tell us 7 random facts
  • Nominate 10 beauty or fashion bloggers
  • Make up 10 questions for your nominees to answer
  • Let the bloggers know you nominated them

Well, here we go!

1. What is your favourite skincare product?

It has to be moisturiser! I don’t think I could live without it. I love my Clinique Moisture Surge, especially during Winter!

2. Favourite Youtube Channel?

This is something that changes monthly! Latest obsession is Jaclyn Hill, The Vanity Chair and of course Zoella and her vlogging!

3. Favourite Sweet?

Does chocolate count? I’m just going to pretend it does. I will never get tired of Milky Bars, White chocolate is just mmm. I’m not really a ‘sweets’ type of person.

4. Dream Holiday Destination?

Hmm, thats hard – there’s so many places I really want to visit. But I think Bora Bora is definitely on the list! Probably after seeing KUWTK holiday there – it just looks so beautiful.

5. Your Hobby?

Apart from this? haha. I love blogging of course and collecting ridiculous amounts of makeup which I probably don’t need (sssh!) I used to love dance and musical theatre when I was well enough to do it. Now I love decorating cakes – it’s like being a kid playing with play-dough!

However, there’s nothing better than shopping in candyland a.k.a Sephora! I wish we had one in Ireland so badly, or even if there was one in the UK I think I could deal with that. Oh well…

6. Favourite Piece of Makeup?

This is another thing which changes constantly, but I suppose a staple of mine for the last year has to be my Nars Sheer Glow. I use this literally everyday, it just gives such a beautiful courage.

7. Give me a Beauty Tip

The best beauty tip anyone can be given is to be themselves and appreciate their own beauty as it’s true that it’s what on the inside that counts. You can have all the beauty products in the world, but if you don’t allow your heart and soul to be happy then it’s useless. Beauty is soul, makeup is art.

8. 3 Makeup Products in your Purse right now?

Rimmel exaggerate liner, MAC Syrup lipstick and MAC mineralised skin finish powder in medium I think. I know this without even looking, these products are constantly with me wherever I go!

9. Sweet or Savoury?

Sweet! Definitely sweet.

10. Favourite Drugstore Brands?

Ohhh there’s so many! I love certain products from Rimmel, Maybelline and L’Oreal of course but I think Soap and Glory also has to be up there in the running – it’s just such an amazing brand which products high quality products at affordable prices. I don’t think there’s been anything I’ve ever bought from S&G that I haven’t liked or wanted to bring back. If I had to guess, I’d say they feature in nearly ALL of my favourites or beauty posts haha!
